Dr. Jose Sosa-Palacios
Interim President
Born in Puerto Rico, Dr. Jose Sosa pursued his undergraduate studies majoring in biology at the University of Puerto Rico Cayey Campus, graduating in 2004. He then continued his academic journey at the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara medical school, where he excelled and graduated with honors. Following his passion for medicine, Dr. Jose Sosa completed a rotational internship and postgraduate year at the Hospital Oncológico Dr. Isaac González Martínez at Centro Medico de Puerto Rico in 2008-2009. This diverse educational background has shaped Dr. Jose Sosa into a dedicated and well-rounded medical professional, poised to make a meaningful impact in the field of healthcare.

Dear Future Members of the Florida ACN Medical Association,
As the President of the Florida ACN Medical Association, it is my honor to extend a heartfelt welcome to you as we embark on a journey of unity, advocacy, and empowerment. Our association is not just an organization; it is a movement fueled by the passion and commitment of physicians like you, dedicated to making a tangible difference in the lives of doctors and patients in underserved and underrepresented areas.
At the core of our mission is the unwavering commitment to advocate for doctors and patients in areas of critical need. We understand the challenges and uncertainties that physicians face in these communities, and it is our goal to provide you with the job security and support you need to continue your invaluable work.
This past legislative session, we worked tirelessly with lobbyists to make significant advances that will pave the way for us to make allies and further advance our mission. Despite facing obstacles and opposition from those who seek to obstruct our progress, we remain steadfast in our commitment to our cause. We cannot wait to share details of this effort in our first assembly.
Unity is the cornerstone of our association. Without it, we cannot achieve our goals. This movement is physician-led, started by physicians and for physicians. We are proud to have allies and experts in various fields who understand the importance of our mission and are working alongside us to achieve our goals.
We recognize the fears and frustrations that our colleagues may have, but building the solid foundations of a strong and long-lasting association takes time, dedication, and collective effort. We welcome the support of those who share our values, and we are willing to work with anyone who has the best interests of ACN doctors and patients at heart.
I am immensely proud of the board members who have dedicated themselves to this cause, and I want you to know that we are colleagues who share the same worries and are in the same situation as you. Together, we are stronger, and together, we will bring about meaningful change.
